Starting out with wall-to-wall carpet to remove.

Cut the carpet at the doorway leaving plenty of material to finish cleanly to the new rubber floor.

Exposing the wood subfloor.

Contaminants on the subfloor need to be removed.

Sweep and vacuum the loose debris prior to grinding the subfloor.

Paint, drywall mud, dirt, carpet pad glue, all need to be removed for a good bond.

The wood subfloor is clean and ready to be smoothed.

Ardex SDF, a cement-based smoothing patch is flat-troweled to the subfloor.

The rubber sheet goods are rolled out completely to let relax.

Once the rubber sheet goods are in position the installation may begin.

The rubber sheets are folded back along the seam line.

The rubber sheet flooring adhesive is troweled on the subfloor.

The Sheet Rubber Flooring Adhesive is applied to one section at a time.

Not too little & not too much, just enough adhesive to transfer 100% to the back of the rubber flooring.

Use a heavy roller to transfer the adhesive evenly.

Roll the rubber floor in three directions, with the seams, across the seams and diagonally.

Blue tape can be used to hold the seams tightly together as the adhesive cures.

Once the rubber floor is installed the baseboard molding can be installed on top.

Finish the carpet to the rubber flooring at the doorway.
